Nathaniel married Michele Marie Marsh. The marriage ended in divorce.Michele was born on 9 Mar 1954 in Detroit, Wayne Co., MI. She died on 17 Oct 2017 in South Kent, Litchfield Co., CT.

1. Obit: Michele Marsh, Emmy Award-winning TV news anchor, dies at 63
Michele Marsh, a longtime fixture in local TV news and something of a pioneer for women anchors, died Tuesday, her family said. She was 63.
The Emmy Award-winning Marsh died after a seven-year battle with breast cancer at her home in South Kent, Conn., her son John Paschall, 25, said.
Paschall said about two weeks ago, Marsh's health began deteriorating. Doctors found that cancer had spread to her brain and the family brought her home.
"She fought an incredible fight, and she beat all the odds against her," Paschal said. "The doctors thought she wouldn't see me graduate and wouldn't see me get married, and she did both of those things."
In her last moments, Marsh thanked her family for being there for her, he said. "She was just extremely grateful for everything we've done for her, and we would do it again in a heartbeat."
Marsh started her career at WCBS-TV in 1979 at age 25, and served as an anchor for 17 years.
She became a member of a group of female anchors who challenged the male-dominated business in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
After she and several other anchors were fired by WCBS in 1996, WNBC-TV picked her up in about a week, Paschall said.
"What she always prided herself on was just really going beyond the basic facts of the story and taking pride in storytelling in general," he said.
"I think that in today's world, that gets lost. She loved the power of the story, and she passed that on to me." (NEW YORK DAILY NEWS, Oct 19, 2017)

2. Michele Marsh, one of the women who achieved success in the male-dominated television news industry in the late 1970s and early 1 980s, has died. Marsh, 63, was surrounded by loved ones Tuesday at her South Kent, Conn., home when she lost her seven-year battle with breast cancer, said her son, John Paschall. The popular, five-time local Emmy Award winner was an anchor and correspondent on the CBS and NBC flagship stations in New York for more than two decades. Marsh, who was born in suburban Detroit and graduated from Northwestern University, worked at TV stations in Bangor, Maine, and San Antonio before joining New York stations WCBS in 1979 and WNBC in 1996. She left the industry in 2003. Paschall, who works for NBC Sports, recently sent a special delivery to his mother: his own Emmy. He had kept it a surprise but quickly found himself awash in congratulations. Marsh, though ailing, had spread the news to countless friends. "It means so much when your mom is proud of you" he said. She also is survived by her husband, PH. Nargeolet. (Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Oct. 21, 2017, p. B6)

1. Obit: Benjamin E. Balkind
Benjamin Edward "Teddy" Balkind, 16, of New Canaan, CT, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Greenwich Hospital. Born November 9, 2005, in Greenwich, Connecticut, he was the son of Buck and Leslie Balkind. Teddy attended St. Luke's School where he played on the varsity hockey team. An avid lover of the outdoors, Teddy spent his time biking through local trails and mountains, and cherished his time mountain biking with his god-father in Stowe, Vermont. He spent his summers on Bantam Lake at Camp Awosting, where he fished, swam and wake-boarded with his friends. Though he sometimes didn't spend an adequate amount of time doing homework, he was a master of Xbox, eating hamburgers and making desserts after every meal. He was proud of his work at New Canaan Bicycles, where he dedicated his weekends to fixing bikes. He had many passions throughout his childhood, and dedicated countless hours to fulfilling them. Strikingly independent and confident in himself, Teddy seemed to be afraid of nothing. He genuinely loved nothing more than to be in the presence of and learn from those he looked up to-- whether that be at home, on the ice, on the mountain, or at school. He was always able to find the best qualities in others and truly sought to emulate them. Never failing to make those around him laugh, his infectious smile lit up every room, and he was not afraid to unexpectedly make mischief. He was undeniably loyal and would do anything for those he loved, including impulsively making crepes for his family on Sunday mornings. Teddy could never quite conceal the abundance of affection he had for others, and in the last months of his life, he never looked happier than when he was talking about his friends and his girlfriend, Olivia. He never needed the attention of others and quietly made a difference in the lives of everyone he encountered. His remarkable kindness, confidence and passion will continue to affect the lives of his loved ones. Teddy is survived by his parents, Leslie and Buck, his sister Karey, grandparents Mary Josephine Balkind, Edward and Karen Brown, aunts and uncles Erica and Bruce Wu, Sarah and Ellis Adler, cousins PJ, Jake, Max, and Sam, and god parents Lynne and Rand Eyberg. He is predeceased by his grandfather, Benjamin Hart Balkind, and his uncle, Benjamin Lee Balkind. There will be a private service held in Teddy's honor at Temple Shalom in Norwalk, CT, and a celebration of his life will be held at a date to be determined.
