20. WILLIAMSTOWN
It is with sincere regret that we note the departure of our esteemed townsman, William H. Witherell, who went to Newport last Monday to live with a nephew who has a bakery there. In the years since coming here from Lowell, Mass., to reside, Mr. Witherell has won the hearty respect of our people. In late years he has been quite infirm from an accident, that occurred to him on his farm here, greatly injuring a hip and from which he had never reoovered the normal use of his limb. We commend him to the good people of Newport as a most worthy christian man. (Vermont Watchman and State Journal (Montpelier), Dec. 24, 1903, p. 5)
