He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Surrounded by his beloved wife and family, Jarrod Alan Sharman, passed away peacefully at the age of 45 Friday, Nov. 22, 2019 at the CHUS Fleurimont following a brief but devastating illness.
Son of Allan Sharman and Beverly Dobb of North Hatley, he leaves to mourn his loving wife and best friend Tara McCully, daughter of Ralph and Sharon McCully, his brother Wesley ( Cynthia Allen), and sister Amy (Mike Wolfe); brothers-in-law Aaron McCully (Roxanne Lister); Andrew McCully (Stephanie Bouthilier); Matthew McCully; and sister-in law Leslie McCully (Jeff Nichols).He was the much-loved and treasured uncle to 18 nieces and nephews, who called him simply `Uncle`.
He will be sadly missed by his colleagues and students at Alexander Galt Regional High School where he was a teacher, friend and coach of basketball and soccer teams. He was the former president of the Lennoxville Curling Club, an active member of the Lennoxville Golf Club and a ready volunteer who offered his considerable talents willingly. He positively influenced the lives of so many young people as a teacher, coach and mentor at Alexander Galt Regional High School and previously at Andrew Stuart Johnson High School in Thetford Mines.

HATLEY. — The funeral of Mrs. Cecil S. Kent was held in Hatley United Church, Wednesday, April 29. 1959. at 2:30 p.m. Rev. A. G. MacLeod officiated, assisted by Rev. A. W. Seaton, a close friend of the family for many years. The choir sang the hymn “In The Garden'’, with Mrs. M. Orcutt organist. Bearers were Stanley Whitcomb, Lawrence Johnson, Allan Wheeler, Cyril Drew, of Hatley, and William Pawley and Gordon Sarrasin, of Massawippi. The Hatley-Massawippi Boy Scout Troop attended in a body. The former Helen Mandana Ayer was instantly killed in a car accident near Quebec City, while returning from a scouting event there. She was born in Flushing, Long Island, on May 21, 1906, third daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Ayer, and came w-ith the family to Hatley in 1919. Mrs. Kent received her education in New Jersey, Hatley and Macdonald College. She was a much loved teacher, having taught in North Road School, Hatley, Judd's Mill, Holmes Memorial, Stanstead, Longueuil, Waterville and Magog. On December 23, 1944, she was married to Cecil S. Kent of Hatley. They had two adopted sons, Rodney and Stuart. For many years Mrs. Kent had sung in the choir, was superintendent of the Sunday School, a member of the Woman’s Association and active in Boy Scout work Her husband, also injured in the accident, survived her by only three days. In addition to her sons, she leaves two sisters, Alice, Mrs. C. Merriman, Stanstead, and Lena, Mrs. Earle Remick. Burlington. DAVISON - Services for Jacklyn Dee Blasdell, 14, who died Thursday of injuries from an accident Monday evening, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Raysin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Genesee Memorial Cemtery, Davison Twp. Jacklyn, a ninth grader at Davison High School, was a passenger in an automobile driven by Raymond Farrer Jr., 2423 Maple Lawn, Burton, according to Davison Twp. police. Police said the Farrer car was southbound on Oak when it was struck by a truck driven by James R. Schultz, 2216 Holly Tree, Davison. Schultz was eastbound on Lippincourt. Police said Farrer disregarded a yield sign. Jacklyn was taken to St. Joseph Hospital, where she died Thursday evening. She leaves her father, Elton R. Blasdell, Davison, a step-father and her mother, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Platz, Davison; a sister, Mrs. Janet Snider, Lapear; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Peever, North Branch.
