2. Jack Dale Frost, age 73, of Grayling and formerly of Romeo passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Mercy Hospital, Grayling. He was born September 29, 1940 the son of George and Eva (Stine) frost in Romeo. Jack attended Armada High School. After school he worked as a roofer for State Roofing and worked at the Ford Tractor Plant here in Romeo. Jack married his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia (Peever) of on April 20, 1962 in Phoenix City, Alabama. He enjoyed playing bingo, horse shoes and euchre as well as old cars.
He is survived by his loving wife Patricia, two sons; Jack of Columbus, Ohio and Cody of Gaylord, three grandchildren; Jack Shea, Kadince and Kody. He is also survived by one sister Virginia Trombley of Imlay City. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Brianna, three brothers; Jewell, George Jr., and Richard, and two sisters; Betty Bertossi and Helen Bennett.

The family of Jeffrey Gordon, proud veteran of the Ottawa Police Service, is greatly saddened to announce his passing on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at the age of 77. Jeff is survived by his loving wife Claudia (nee Ferraro), to whom he was married for 38 years, and by his children Sean (Lisa) Gordon, Christina (Paul) Papp, Julia Niles and Mark Gordon. Also mourning the loss of their beloved Nonno are grandchildren Tyler Niles, Connor, Caelan and Abi Gordon, and Jordan Perrin-Gordon. They are joined in grief by Jeff’s sister, Glenda (John) Strudwick; his mother-in-law Giovanna (late Basilio) Ferraro of Vicenza, Italy; sister-in-law Paola (Paolo) Grossele, also of Vicenza; and brother-in-law Lorenzo (Ursula) Ferraro of Ottawa.
Jeff was born in 1944 and grew up in Carp, Ontario, the son of the late Ross and Ethel (nee Weedmark) Gordon. He was predeceased by his brothers, Dennis and Harley Gordon.
Jeff served as an Ottawa police officer for 31 years, rising to the rank of Inspector. With a keen interest in military history and collectables, he also served for many years as head of the Ottawa chapter of the international Orders and Medals Research Society. In uniform or civilian clothes, Jeff was a commanding presence. He was broad-shouldered and a strapping six feet two inches tall. But he will be remembered by those who knew and loved him as a kind, caring and unpretentious man, cherished for his camaraderie, thoughtfulness and delightful sense of humour. He will be sorely missed.
At Jeff’s request, a visitation for family only will be held on Thursday, October 21, with no formal wake or funeral. Also, at his request, his ashes will be spread in Venice and Monte del Grappa, Italy, the settings for many fond memories with Claudia. Edna Joyce Weedmark. daughter of Mr. Arnold Weedmark and the late Mrs. Weedmark. of Carp, was married Saturday afternoon in St. Paul's United church. Carp, to Herbert Omar Weatherley, son of Mr. Herbert Weatherley and the late Mr. Weatherley of Carp. Rev. F. W. Taylor performed the cermony and Mr. Stuart Dawson played the wedding music. The soloist was Mr. A. Johnston. The church was decorated with baskets of blue and white delphinium. The bride was given in marriage by her father and attended by her sister. Miss Marguerita Weedmark. as bridesmaid and by Miss Beverley Rump as flower girl. Mr. Kenneth Weatherley was best man for his brother and the ushers were Mr. Harold Weatherley and Mr. Allan Falls. For her wedding the bride wore a floor-length gown of white slipper satin, styled with a heart- shaped neckline, a fitted lace bodice. and a full skirt. Her floor-length veil of embroidered net was in place by a halo of white satin petals and she carried an arm bouquet of red roses. After the cermony Mr, and Mrs. Weatherley left to spend their honeymoon in the United States, Mrs Weatherley travelling in pink linen ensemble with black accessories. CARP, April 17. (Special)-, St. Paul's United Church was the scene of a pretty Spring wedding on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. when Miss Marguerite Frances Weedmark, youngest daughter of Mr. Arnold Weedmark and the late Mrs. Weedmark, was united in marriage to Harold Earl Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo . Thompson of Rupert, Quebec. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. F. W. Taylor. Stuart Dawson presided at the organ, and Al. Johnston ot Ottawa was the soloist. The church was beautifully decorated with Spring flowers. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attended by her cousin Miss George Logan acted as best man and the ushers were Lindsay Thompson, brother of the bridegroom and Allan Falls. For her wedding the bride chose a floor length gown of old ivory satin with a full skirt extending in a long train and long tight sleeves and tiny buttons of same material from the neckline to the waist in the back. Her long white veil waa held in place with a tiara of seed pearls extended in a long train and she carried an arm bouquet of Talisman roses. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the Barocque Room, Red Door, Ottawa. Later the young couple left for Great Falls, Montana. For travelling Mrs. Thompson chose a loganberry gabardine suit with burgundy accessories and grey kolinsky furs and a corsage of Talisman roses. They will reside in Edmonton, Alta. - E. A. Thompson WAKEFIELD 'Special' The death of Edward Alonza Thompson, well known district farmer, took place at his home at Rupert, following a prolonged illness. He was in his 64th year. Born at Rupert, Que., in March 1892, he was a son of the late John Thompson and his wife, Bella Thompson, and had lived in the Masham North area all his life, receiving his education in the district schools. He attended the United Church at Rupert, and had been a member of the Orange Order since youth belonging to LOL Rupert, No. 147. He was well-known throughout the area as a capable oldtime fiddler, and his services were in demand in that capacity. His wife, the former Annie May Baldwin of Farm Point, to whom he was married at Wakefield 37 years ago, survives. Also surviving are nine sons, Harold Thompson, of Carp, Ont; Lindsay, of Carleton Place; James, Donald and Lester, all of Ottawa; Ivan, Toronto; Maynard, of Ottawa; Raymond and Winston, at home. There are two daughters, Mrs. George (Joy) Logan, of Ottawa; and Mrs. Charles (Adai Thompson, of St. Louis, Mo. One sister, Miss Florence Thompson, of Ottawa, also survives. The funeral took place from the Shouldice Funeral Home, Wakefield, to Rupert United Church, and was largely attended.

1. WHITEFIELD – Michael D. Campbell, 57, of Spencer Road, died peacefully at his home after a long battle with heart complications. Michael was born in Heidelberg, Germany, on February 4, 1963, the son of Richard E. and Barbara (Haynes) Campbell.
He was a lifetime resident of the North Country and is survived by his two children, Breanna Birt of Lunenburg, Tucker Campbell of Quincy, MA; two brothers, Richard Christopher Campbell of Burke, VA, Thomas Campbell of West Charleston, VT; and his step-mother Jeannie Campbell of Young Harris, GA.

She worked in area shoe factories, the Cutler Nursing Home in Springfield, Vt., and the Fuller Laundry in Bel-; lows Falls, Vt., before retiring several years ago. Her first husband, Harold Parker, lives in Florida. She was predeceased by husbands Ernest Desmond and Alfred Goodell. She is survived by five sons, Arthur Parker of Salt Lake City, Utah, Francis Parker of Manchester, N.H., Harold Parker of Washburn, Maine, Steven Desmond of Brattleboro, Vt., and Theodore Desmond of Burlington, Vt.; one daughter, Bonnie Kirby of South Carolina; one brother Arthur Paul of Proctorsville, Vt.; two sisters Gertrude Pelequin of Keene and Florence Bretton of Winchendon, Mass.; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Francis B. Parker 71, a longtime resident of Manchester, NH, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Westwood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Keene, NH.
He was born in Athol, MA, June 12, 1942, the son of the late Harold and Dorothy Parker.
He worked for many years with B&B Shoe Company in Manchester.
Mr. Parker had a special love of music and enjoyed playing the harmonica. He also enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, and classic car shows.
He is survived by two children, Lynn Quade and her husband, Patrick, of Rindge, NH, David Parker and his wife, Mary Jo, of Manchester, NH; two grandchildren, Nicholas Leroux of Keene, NH, Robert Leroux Jr. of Jaffrey, NH; five brothers, John Parker of Ulster Park, NY, Robert Parker of Meriden, CT. Harold Parker Jr. of Manchester, NH, Stephen Desmond of Winchester, NH, Theodore Desmond of Bristol, VT; two sisters, Mary Desmond of Winchester, NH, Bonnie Kerby of Liberty Hill, TX; his step-mother, Thelma Parker of Hinsdale, NH; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Arthur Parker in 1999.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26th at 11:00 AM in the Village Church, 121 Cobble Hill Road, West Swanzey, NH. Family and friends are welcome. Burial in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Keene, will be private.
