7. SANDISFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Donald Morrison of Tannery Road were honored by their children in observance of their 36th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Jan. 29, 1938 in Newport. Vt. They have five children, Ralph, Michael and June at home, and Mrs. Danzil Beauregard of Schenectady, N.Y., and Ronald of Watertown, Conn. A sixth child, James, died in 1962. Born Oct. 9, 1914, in Rock Island, Quebec, Canada, son of Riley and Chloe Walker Morrison, he worked at the Hudson Wire Co. in Winsted, Conn., before retiring in 1970. He leaves three sons, Ronald, Ralph and Michael Morrison, all of Sandisfield; two daughters, Donna of New York and June of Sandisfield; a brother, Robert Morrison of South Windsor, Conn.; a sister Mrs. Hazel Lang of Ottawa, Canada; several grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the John J. Shea Funeral Home, 99 Wheeler St., Winsted. Burial will be in Sandisfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be tonight from 7 to 9. The death of Gertrude Davidson Beauregard occurred at the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital on July 10, 1987, after a short illness. She was born in Newport, Vermont, daughter of the late John Davidson and his wife, the late Carrie Lamarche on February 24, 1898. At an early age, her parents came to the Eastern Townships to live where she spent the rest of her life, moving to Warden in 1972. She was united in marriage to Albert Beauregard on June 23, 1915. Sixteen children were born of this union. Those left to mourn her passing are her children: Dulcie and Roger Charity, Belma and Harry Randall, Robert and Maureen Beauregard, Edna and Arnold Mallette, Laura St. Pierre, Lottie and Sydney Keeble, Hilda and Cecil Wetherby, Henry and Dot Beauregard, Francis and Barbara Beauregard, Shirley and William Borden, Denzil and Donalda Beauregard, Harold and Elaine Beauregard, Carl and Cathy Beauregard, Kenneth and Betty Anne Beauregard; her sister and brother-inlaw, Doris and George Taylor ; two brothers, Carl and Roy Davidson; sister-in-law Janet Booth and two brothers-in-law, John Witham and Orville Bernard; as well as 46 grandchildren, 53 greatgrandchildren, 3 great-greatgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many special friends. The death of Albert Beauregard occurred at the Sherbrooke Hospital on August 27, 1973 where he had been a patient for over a week. He was born in Woonsocket, R.I. son of the late Henry Beauregard and his wife the late Bethsamir Gaulm on March 16 1873. At the age of five years he came to the Eastern Townships area where he spent his life until a year ago when he moved to Warden. Quebec. SANDISFIELD - Miss Valerie T. Stearns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. Stearns of Framingham, was married Oct. 9 to Ronald W. Morrison. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald D. Morrison of Tannery Road. The noon ceremony was performed by Justice of the Peace Flora B. Rhodes at the American Legion post home in New Boston. A reception followed. The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Miss Virginia Steams. Michael Morrison was best man to his brother. After a wedding trip to Pennsylvania the couple will live on Tannery Road. 3. Obit: Ronald W. Morrison died suddenly Feb. 23 at home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post 456 of Sandisfield. He served as assistant fire chief of the Sandisfield Volunteer Fire Department and was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was employed as a maintenance facilitator for Northeast Highland Resource in Winsted, Conn. Ronald was the dear husband of Valerie Morrison; devoted father of Lisa Scalise, Rachel and Corrine Morrison; father-in-law to Robert Scalise, and proud grandfather to Tyler and Olivia Hope. He was the son of Dulcie Charity and the late Donald Morrison, and son-in-law to Virginia Stearns. He was the brother to Ralph and Michael of Sandisfield, Donna of New York, and June of Brockton. Ronald was also the brother of the late James Morrison. He was survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends to many and loved by all. BROCKTON – Thomas G. Thibeault, age 77, life long resident of Brockton, died May 25, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital after a long illness. Born and raised in Brockton, son of the late Thomas G., and Alice (McCullough). Thomas was a graduate of Stonehill College and Anna Maria College. After serving in the United States Army during World War II, Mr. Thibeault was a 30 year veteran of the Brockton Police Department; then went on to a second career in banking until his retirement 15 years later. Thomas was an avid golfer, member of the Senior Bowling League, and Life member of the Campello Veteran Firemen Association. Along with his memberships Thomas was a communicant at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, and the former Saint Margaret’s Church.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Sally A. (Hannon), children Thomas G. Thibeault, Jr. of Easton, Mark Thibeault of Brockton, Barbara Austin, Susan Finlayson both of Middleboro, and Brian Thibeault of Brockton, a sister Evelyn Meinhold of Hanson. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.



Sally A. (Hannon) Thibeault, 77 years of Brockton died Sunday July 13, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the wife for 53 years of the late Thomas G. Thibeault, retired Brockton Police.
Sally was born in Brockton a daughter of the late Charles and Marion (Conefrey) Hannon and remained a lifelong resident of the city. She was a 1948 graduate of Brockton High School. In 1998 she retired as an energy auditor for Aris Energy. Prior to raising her family, she was a secretary at the Brockton VA Hospital. She was a member of Ireland’s Own, the City Democratic Committee and a longtime communicant of St. Margaret Church where she served on the 75th Anniversary Committee. Sally enjoyed bowling with the Police wife’s league and worldwide travel. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, the Red Sox, but most importantly time spent with her family.
She was the mother of Thomas G. Thibeault, Jr. and his wife Stacey of So. Easton, Mark Thibeault of Brockton, Barbara Austin and her husband Jay of Middleboro, Susan Finlayson and her husband Donald of Middleboro, Brian Thibeault of Brockton and the late Michael Thibeault and his widow Patti. Grandmother of eleven. She was the sister of Grace Holster of Brockton, James Hannon of W. Bridgewater and the late Marion McGrath, Patricia Spillane and Jean Studenski. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ronald E. Morrison, 43, of Sandy Beach Road, Crystal Lake, died at his home Sunday. He was bom in Vermont and lived in the Hartford area for a number of years. He owned and operated the Chicken Delight drive-in in East Hartford. He was a World War II veteran, serving as a staff sergeant with the Marines in the Pacific Theater. He had lived in Crystal Lake for the last year. He was a member of St. Luke's Church, Ellington. Linda Marie Lang, age 67, of Saco, Maine, formerly of Old Orchard Beach, Maine and Arizona, died Sunday, April 17, 2016 in Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine.
She was born in Biddeford, Maine, March 17, 1949 a daughter of Robert and Alice I. (Downs) Pillsbury. She attended schools in Old Orchard Beach then moved with her family to Arizona where she graduated, Palaverti High School in Arizona.
On June 21, 2001, she married, Calvin R. Lang, in Laurel Hill Cemetery Chapel in Saco. Most of her adult life was spent as a homemaker.
Linda enjoyed outside gardening, flowers, music and family.
Predeceasing her, besides her parents, was a daughter, Brandy Butterfield, and a sister, Nancy Goudreau.

Robert was born in Derby, Vt., and lived in East Windsor for 16 years. He was a U.S Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of both the Barry-Poulter Post No. 40 A.L., and the V.F.W. Post No. 10830, both of East Windsor. Robert was a past president of the Steel Workers Union Local 7766 that represented the employees of Sonoco Products Company of Windsor Locks, where he had worked for 23 years as a driver until his retirement. Alex J. Klonoski 1924 - 2013 WEST SPRINGFIELD - Alex J. Klonoski, 88, a resident of West Springfield for more than fifty years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke with his loving family by his side. Born on November 5, 1924, son of the late John and Stella () Klonoski, he was raised in Simsbury, CT and was a graduate of Simsbury High School. A US Navy veteran of World War II, Alex served in the Asiatic-Pacific theatre of war and fought in the battles of Guadalcanal and Okinawa. A communicant of the Basilica of Stanislaus, Bishop & Martyr, he was employed by the Dow Jones Co. for many years, retiring in 1989. For more than twenty-five years he also worked part time as a school bus driver for the West Springfield Public School District. Alex enjoyed polka dancing, boating and ice fishing. He was predeceased in 1993 by his beloved wife of forty years, Elizabeth M. (Bozek) Klonoski. Alex is survived by two loving daughters, Sandra Earnshaw and her husband Jeffrey of East Longmeadow and Nancy Conrad and her husband Ronald of Westfield; four cherished grandchildren, Jill, Kelly, Alexis and Adam: four great-grandchildren; his sister, Frances Morrison of East Windsor, CT; and several nieces and nephews. North Hatley, May 5.—The marriage of Gladys Arlene, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Buckland, of North Hatley, to LAC. Wesley Melton Sharman, of Windsor Mills, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Sharman, of North Hatley, took place at the Baptist Church. Rev. S. Robert Weaver officiated at the ceremony. The church was prettily decorated by friends of the bride, the choice scheme being pink and white. The flowers were Easter lilies and roses. It being a candlelight service, pink and white candles were placed in the windows. It was the first wedding performed in that church. The bride entered the church to the strains of the Wedding March, played by Mrs. Glen Bennett, and was given in marriage by Mr. Ray Merrill, uncle of the groom. She wore a sunny blue suit, navy picture hat, navy accessories and a corsage of red roses. The maid-of-honor was Miss Glenna Buckland, sister of the bride, who wore a rose wool dress, dark brown hat and accessories and a corsage of yellow carnations. The bridesmaid was Miss Patricia Tayor, a friend of the bride, who wore a brown suit with brown hat and accessories. The groom was attended by his brother, Mr. Howard Sharman, and Mr. Wallace Penwill acted as usher. The bride’s mother wore an ensemble of flight blue crepe with hat to match, navy accessories and a corsage of pink and white sweet peas. The groom’s mother wore an enemble of navy with navy and red accessories, and a corsage of red carnations. The bride’s gift to her attendants were compacts, and the groom’s gifts to the best man and usher were billfolds. The reception was held following the ceremony, in the Community Hall, where pink and white colors were used effectively. The bride’s table, which was covered with a lovely cloth and centered with a three-tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom. Miss Thelma Sanders sang "O Promise Me,” then two readings were given by Mrs. Glen Bennett. Mr, Alton Ryan gave the toast to the bride, and the groom responded with a few well-chosen words. The wedding cake was cut by the bride, assisted by the groom. Later refreshments were served by Mrs. Harold Hawse, assisted by the Misses Dulsie and Margaret Hawse, Miss Joyce Kezar and Miss Glennis Buckland. The wedding gifts, which were both numerous and beautiful, consisted of wool blankets, bedspreads, linen, silver, china, electric gifts and cheques. NORTH HATLEY -- The sudden death of Milton P. Sharman occurred at his home here on Jan. 10, 1964. He was in his 75th year. Mr. Sharman was born in Clifton, Que., Dec. 3, 1889, son of the late Wesley Sharman and his wife, Estella Philbrooke. He received his education in schools at Clifton and Martinville, and attended Macdonald College. In 1916 he married Lila Merril, of Martinville, and for several years they lived on a farm at Hatley. In 1931, because of ill health, he gave up the farm and moved to North Hatley, where he worked as a carpenter until the time of his death. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife; two sons, Wesley and Howard, both of North Hatley; six grandchildren; a brother Will Sharman, of Hatley; and several other relatives. The funeral service was held on Jan. 13, in the North Hatley Baptist Church. Rev. Kirk Feltham, minister of the United Church of Canada, officiated with Rev. John D. E. Dozois, of the Baptist Church assisting. Mrs. R. Olson sang two hymns, No Night There and In Ithe Garden, accompanied by Mrs. G. E. Bennett at the organ. Bearers were, Stewart Reed, Ronald Reed, Norman Burnell, Arnold McNab, Simon Kezar and Orin Gardner. Interment was in the Reedsville Cemetery. (Feb 1964)

GALETTA, Ont. - On the occasion of the 40th wedding anniversary of the bridegroom's parents, the marriage of Helen Myrtle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dean, to Cpl. Harold Jennings, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnston Sadler, took place in St. Augustine's Anglican church, with Rev. P. Caiger-Watson officiating. Wedding music was played by Mrs. Gordon Murchison. Mr. and Mrs. J. Sadler were married in Renfrew, September 24, 1908. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivory slipper satin, designed with a high neckline, yoke of nylon net embroidered with seed pearls, and long sleeves coming to points over the hands. The full skirt was scalloped over a net panel. Her Parisian net veil was held in place by a tiara of seed pearls and 6he carried a shower bouquet of American Beauty roses. Misses Dorothy and Joyce Dean attended their sister. Harold Verch acted as best man, and ushers were G. Peever and R. MacGregor. Autumn blooms decorated the church.
After the wedding lunch, served in the Pakenham hall, the bride presented the bride of 40 years with her bouquet. Later the newly-wed couple left on a honeymoon trip to northern Ontario, the bride travelling in a dressmaker suit of grey gabardine with black accessories. Her shoulder bouquet was of fed roses. Cpl. and Mrs. Sadler wil reside in Ottawa, where the former is attached to the RCCS. Ottawa guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Dean Cowan, Mrs. W. 2. Obit: Sidney (Sid) R. Holm, 83, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23rd, 2013. He was born on April 16th, 1930, in Ortonville, Michigan. He graduated from Goodrich H.S. in MI., attended college earning a degree in Blueprints. He retired from commercial construction management. He began serving his country at age 17 when he joined the United States Navy. He was aboard the USS Leyte in foreign waters and became involved in the Korean War. All personnel aboard the ship earned a Special Commendation from the President of U.S. He then went to Viet Nam & worked for our government rebuilding bridges & was injured in a land mine. He moved to Florida in 1961 and has been a permanent resident. He had a long career with the Veterans of Foreign Wars & has been a lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion, & the VFW MOCA in Fl. He was Post Commander 5 times, once in Ruskin, Fl., Venice, Rotonda twice & Englewood Post. He started the VFW Post in Rotonda & was the first Cmdr. of the new Post. He earned the honor of being an All American District 10 Commander in l992-93. He was Post Chaplain, District 10 Chaplain for 12 years & Department of Florida , VFW State Chaplain from 2008-2011. He also received the highest appointed position for the Dept. of FL State VFW as State Chief-of-Staff in 2005-06. He earned National & State appointments including Nat'l Youth Development Scholarship & Recognition Committee, Nat'l Youth Education & Community Service, Nat'l Security Council & Foreign Affairs; Nat'l Aide-de-Camp; State Memorial Day Chairman; Membership Committee. He is well known for his dedicated public speaking representing our men and women in the US Military. He started the Memorial Day Program that was held every year at Gulf Pines Memorial Cemetery. He was a very active member of the Englewood United Methodist Church where he ushered for many years, was a Past President of the EUMC Men's Club, was a faithful worker of the Pancake breakfasts & he was very proud of becoming a Stephen Minister. He was an avid fisherman and loved all sports. He was a master gardener and could grow anything with his green thumb. He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn, sister Sharon Van Loan, niece Susan Texel & great nephew Jeremy Texel; nephew David Reed & great niece Tiffany & great nephew David. He was an outstanding loving husband, a kind, generous, caring, strong man and a man of his word. He will be greatly missed by many but most especially his wife.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Henderson. Rev. Brigit Stevens will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery in Henderson.
William was born on March 25, 1919 to William C. and Annie (Cameron) Duncan in Eastend, Saskatchewan, Canada. He received his education in the Saskatchewan schools. Later on, the family moved to Franktown, Ontario. In 1960 he married Rosewitha Grapentine of Henderson, Mn. They farmed in rural Henderson and Harvey also did maintenance work at various places. Later on, they moved to rural Le Sueur. Harvey's hobbies included traveling, camping, bird feeding and making lawn ornaments.
Harvey is survived by many nieces and nephews from Smiths Falls, Ontario; step-children, Elliot Grapentine of Coon Rapids, Rhoda (Milton) Woehler of Arlington, John (Doris) Grapentine of Smiths Falls, Ontario, and Jerry (Pat) Grapentine of Henderson; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Special thank you to Lori Grapentine & staff at Le Sueur Assisted Living for their years of special love, support and care.

A very pretty wedding was held at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs, John Peever, Kinburn; on June 14th, when their daughter, Inez Helen, became the bride of Bransilaw Sierolawski of Ottawa. Rev. Mr. Shaffer officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her father and looked attractive in maize organdie and carried roses and lily of the valley. Miss Marion Weedmark was bridesmaid and wore rose crepe and carried an old fashioned nose-gay of roses. Mr. Cyril Peever was best man. The wedding music was played by Mrs. Peever, mother of the bride.
