3. Town Report Lists 126 Marriages
SEVERAL MISSED IN
CURRENT NEWS REPORTS
Through one or another of the several loopholes through which news of marriages eludes publication — and how well reporters know that bug-a-boo — the Enterprise and Journal in the past year missed printing 20 of the 126-marriages recorded at the town clerk's office as shown by the town report now being printed. The paper appreciates the cooperation of all who assist in the reporting of marriages — or news of any type — but is forced to respect the wishes of persons who desire for one reason or another to keep their affairs private. ...
... Also in June, on the 19th, in this town, Ernest Elgin Guyer and Mary Gloria Dutrisac were married. (Enterprise and Journal, Feb. 27, 1947, p. 3)
