Tamara Lou Aselin (nee Damiano), age 77, died on March 9, 2022. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, eventually living in Downey with her husband Chuck. She and Chuck were married 55 years, with their marriage ending only when Chuck passed away from Alzheimer's Disease in 2021. Tam loved to read, dance, paint, golf and play Mahjongg with her friends. She and Chuck enjoyed retiring to Palm Desert and living in the Del Webb community. She was the mother of twin daughters, who she would say were the greatest thing that ever happened to her. She was loving, kind, patient, supportive, and always proud of her girls and grandchildren.
Tamara is survived by her daughters Cheryl (Ray) and Stacy (Bill). She is also survived by five beautiful grandchildren (Faith, Daniel, Noah, Elijah and Gabrielle), sisters Debra (Marty) and Bette Jo (Hannis) and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Chuck, parents Alyce and Joe Damiano, and brothers Charles and Steven Damiano.

On May 19, 1945, in Los Angeles, Calif., she married Loren Bowen. She had been employed at Von’s Bakery as a cake decorator. She was a member of St. Dorothy Church in Glendora. Pearl (Selby) Crain, ’75 Life has been anything but easy for Pearl (Selby) Crain lately. Diagnosed with acute myelogenic leukemia in October, she has been through chemotherapy, surgery and an extended hospital stay since that time. Married to Ken Crain, ’74, Pearl has three children and two grandchildren. Two of her children graduated from PAA in the 1990s, and Ken owns his own business. Since graduating from PAA, Pearl became a registered nurse and has worked in the ICU of Portland’s Adventist Medical Center for more than a decade.
