Mike had such a stage presence and personality it was always a pleasure and joy to watch him perform. His love of music and performing really showed through. 2. Port Orchard Woman Dies in Rollover Crash
SOUTH KITSAP - A Port Orchard woman was killed and a man severely injured in a Saturday night crash on Southworth Drive, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were called to the road, near its intersection with Yukon Harbor Road, at about 10:18 p.m. Patricia Heaton, 51, the passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Michael Heaton, 49, also of Port Orchard, was taken by South Kitsap Fire and Rescue to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma with life-threatening injuries, deputies said. An investigation found that their car, a 2008 Hyundai Sonata, was going east on Southworth Drive when it went off the south side of the road, into a ditch. It then struck a culvert, rolled the car on its top, and re-entered the road before sliding to a stop in the westbound lane. Deputies believe alcohol and excessive speed were factors in the crash. Once completed, they'll forward a report to the Kitsap County Prosecutor's Office for review of possible criminal charges. Those with information about the crash are asked to call Kitsap County sheriff's deputy Mike Shannon. (Kitsap Sun, Aug. 24, 2009)

Marlo G. Kluth, age 76, passed away on October 26, 2014 at Richland Rehabilitation Center after a long battle with COPD. Marlo was born on December 16, 1937 to Woody and Dorothy Kluth in Mitchell, SD. He grew up in Yakima and was a long-time resident of the Tri-City area.
Marlo was preceded in death by his parents, younger brother Carl who passed away December 2003 and his wife of 42 years Judith Kluth who went before him on August 30, 2014.
Marlo left behind one brother Wayne Kluth (Darlene) of Kirkland, WA; son Michael Kluth; one nephew; and four nieces. He also left behind a very dear friend which he thought of as a son, Big Dan Wright.
Marlo was very proud of the time he spent in the United States Army and Army reserve, retiring as a 1st Sergeant. While in the reserves, he joined the Boilermaker union and also retired from that. His retirement years were not spent being idle. He had a model train collection that he enjoyed tinkering with and building, he was extremely proud of how it had come together.
Marlo enjoyed working with his hands whether tinkering with a motor or out in his garden, tending to his grapes and fruit trees. He enjoyed being with people and helping them in any way he could. For someone who didn't have much formal education, he sure knew a lot of things that couldn't be found in a classroom setting and he gladly shared it with others. He always enjoyed going on camping trips, but deep sea fishing with his dad and brother did not agree with him. But he would go none the less.
