Andrew Marshall, 64, of Groveton NH, died at his home on July 13, 2009. Mr. Marshall was born in Lancaster NH on August 15, 1944, a son of Harold Marshall, Sr., and Evelyn (Applebee) Marshall. Andy was a lifelong resident of Groveton, graduating from Groveton High School. He worked for many years on his family farm, the Marshall Dairy Farm. He also drove trucks for various companies in the North Country, including Currier Trucking and Wausau Carriers. Before retiring he worked for the Postal Service as a mail carrier. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the North Star Lodge No 8. Free & Accepted Masons, Lancaster NH.
Family members include his wife Linda (Breault) Marshall, daughters Christine Hersom and husband Nate of Sanbornton NH and Kimberly Marshall of Tilton NH, son Michael Woodward and wife Mary of Groveton, brother Harold "Pete" Marshall, Jr., and wife Nancy of Groveton, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Meunier was employed for several years with the Nashua Plastics Co. and with Servomation. She was born in Quebec, Canada, Nov. 14, 1915, daughter of the late Henry and Rose Payeur. Mrs. Meunier was born in Berlin, NH on August 27, 1963 the daughter of Howell “Moose” LaFlamme and Doris Bourassa Laflamme Beaudoin.
Janice moved to Groveton at an early age, attending Groveton schools and was a 1982 graduate of Groveton High School. She worked at Ames Department Store, Berlin City Bank, Groveton, and was of recent, manager at the Perras Treasures, Northumberland. She loved bingo, scratch tickets, computers, online games and her favorite dog “Gizmo”. Time spent with friends was of great value to Janice, especially socializing with the local “Coffee Club”. She was a devoted follower of auto racing and enjoyed watching her son and nephew race in Groveton and was an avid Nascar fan.
Family members include her husband Thomas M. Meunier of Groveton; a son Christopher P. Meunier and his companion Jamie L. Boutin, of Groveton; a daughter Amy D. Meunier of Groveton; her mother Doris Beaudoin of Whitefield; three brothers and their wives, Roland and Debra LaFlamme of Groveton, Randy and Robin LaFlamme of Littleton, Patrick and Rhonda LaFlamme of Whitefield; two sisters and their husbands; Susan and Dennis Croteau of Stark , Debra and Michael Pilotte of Whitefield; mother in-law, Dawn E. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for the telephone company for 35 years. He was married to Carol Ann Bailey Jan. 26, 1961, [1964] in Lyndon. The Camerons came to West Hartford in 1978. Mrs. Cameron died in 1984. He was very active in the Hartford Hockey Program. Rafael Vasquez Flores, 75, of Wilder, Vermont died Thursday, September 10, 2015, at the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, VT, after battling lymphoma.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on March 9, 1940, and raised by his Aunt and Uncle, Aurora & Avelino Flores. He graduated Burbank High School, in San Antonio, TX in 1958, and joined the United States Air Force at age 22. He met Lorraine E. Bailey while he was stationed in Topsham, Maine, and while she was in nurses training at Central Maine Medical Center. They moved to California in 1966, and shortly thereafter were married, a union of 49 years. While in California, he worked for Litton Industries, and was involved in the wiring of Air Force One, and the Mariner Venus Space Mission. In 1985, Rafael moved with his family to the Upper Valley VT/NH, and worked at the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, VT as a Registered Respiratory Therapist until he retired in 2005.
During his 30 years in the Upper Valley, Rafael was a volunteer baseball coach at Hartford High School, and very active and committed to the Upper Valley AA community. He had a good natured disposition, and despite being a lifelong Dodgers fan, Rafael had a positive attitude about life, and jovial sense of humor. He was very family oriented, a loving husband, immensely proud of his sons, and enjoyed being a grandpa "Pop". Music, especially Jazz, Latin, & conjunto styles, reading historical non-fiction, baseball, as well as traditional Mexican food were essential enjoyments for him.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Flores; his two sons, Rafael A. Flores and wife Ariel of Wilder, VT, Miguel Flores and wife Hannah of White River Junction, VT ; four grandchildren Cadence, Olivia, Solomon and Aurora; Sisters, Sylvia Budraitis, Rosalie Trevino, Dolores De La Torre all of San Antonio, TX, his Aunt Alma Flores of San Antonio, TX, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life at the Knight Funeral Home, in White River Junction, VT on Thursday September 17, 2015 from 3-5pm, with a get together to follow at the home of Rafael A. and Ariel Flores 275 Passumpsic Ave in Wilder.

Given in marriage by her father the bride was becomingly gowned in a ballerina length dress of net over satin. The long sleeves came to a point at the wrists. The waist featured a scalloped neckline. The skirt was fashioned with layers of illusion net panels on the sides and back. The bride’s veil was attached to a jeweled coronet. She carried a bouquet of white carnations tinted with orchid. The maid of honor wore a gown of yellow chiffon. Her flowers were white poms tinted in yellow. The bridesmaids Miss Garrow and Miss Hicks wore respectively pale orchid chiffon carrying white poms tinted in orchid and pale mint green chiffon with white poms tinted green. Their head bands matched their gowns. The flower girl, Norene Applebee, wore a pale yellow nylon dress and carried a basket of Marguerites. The boutonnieres of the gentlemen in the wedding party were white carnations tinted to correspond with the flowers of the bride and attendants. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Von Nieda chose a gown of deep orchid nylon over floral print with white accessories. Her corsage was of orchid tinted carnations. Keith was a longtime employee of Spector Freight in Chicopee, and most recently employed with Venture Vehicles in Westfield. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Barbara (VonNieda) Applebee. He was a devoted father to his 3 sons, Brian of New Fairfield, CT, Barry of Palmer, & Blaine of Florence; and his daughter, Kristel of Northampton, and their respective spouses; and a wonderful grandpa to his 8 cherished grandchildren. Jon is survived by his wife Noreen; two children and their spouses, Craig A. Benjamin and wife Karri, and Erica Ann Morrison and husband Jonathan, and two grandchildren, Cara and Kaylin, all of St. Johnsbury; two brothers, Steve Benjamin of Florida, and David Benjamin of Springfield, Vt.

He coached basketball in Burlington, and American Legion Baseball in Springfield for many years. The boys he coached became extended family members to the family. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and enjoyed the verbal exchanges he would have with Yankee fans!
He was a member of the Springfield Elks Lodge for 53 years.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Doris (Fay) Hays of South Burlington; three daughters, Deb Pederson and her husband John, of Weathersfield, VT, Linda Stokes and her husband Jim, of Springfield, VT, and Susan Tarbell and her husband Jim of North Springfield, VT; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; five stepchildren: Jana Doria McGrath of St. Albans, VT, John Doria of Reno, NV, James Doria of Middlebury, VT, Jack Doria of Cayucos, CA, and Jeremy Doria of Wakefield, RI; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his daughter Nancy Gurney.

There will be a Celebration of Life and Elks Service on Sunday June 7, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Springfield Elks Lodge on Park Street, Springfield VT. Please come and share stories of Tommy! Burial will be held later at the convenience of the family.

He was born in Wilmington, VT on May 25, 1921 the son of George and Flora (Pike) Dixon. He lived in Claremont most of his life and spent winters in Palm Harbor, FL for the past eleven years. Mr. Dixon retired in 1983 from Jones & Lamson in Springfield, VT where he worked for 38 years. The surviving family includes his much loved wife, Jean (Ladd) Dixon whom he married on June 23, 1973 at the Church On The Hill in Acworth, NH; a daughter, Betty Dixon of West Fairlee, VT; stepdaughters, Debbie Hays, Linda Brochu and Sue Tarbell, all of Springfield, VT; four grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Marion (Marquis) Dixon who died in 1965; a son, Timothy Dixon; a step-daughter, Nancy Gurney; three sisters; two brothers and two very special friends, Newton "Coach" Baker and Elaine Baker. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 18th at One-Thirty O'clock in the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont with Priscilla Hull, Officiating. Interment will be private in Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the services.

In a ceremony Wednesday morning in St Patrick's Chapel. Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Miss Pauline Cram, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cram of 5 Chase Ln., became the bride of Pvt. Robert Ladd, son of Mrs. Edythe Ladd of 28 Decatur St. Rev. Philip Branon performed the ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore lace over white satin, the bodice fashioned with Peter Pan collar and the front of the bouffant skirt styled with accordion pleats, sweeping to a Cathedral train. She carried red roses on a white prayerbook. Maid of honor for her cousin was Miss Marlene Cavoretto, who wore dusty rose. Bridesmaids were the Misses Joan Maynard and Virginia Milizia. They wore gowns of aqua. Best man was Delby Carpenter, Ushers were William Ladd and John Brisson. A wedding breakfast and reception followed at the sombrero Restaurant. The bride is a 1953 graduate of Burlington High School. She was formerly employed by the Burlington Rapid Transit Co. The bridegroom, who attended Burlington High School, has just completed boot training with the Marine Corps and leaves today for Camp Lejeune, N.C., where the couple will reside. FLETCHER -- Robert Barker "Bob" Ladd, Sr., 75, passed away on Thursday May 12, 2011, at his home with his loving family by his bedside. He was born in Burlington on Nov. 21, 1935, son of the late Robert Charles Ladd and Edythe (Barker) Ladd. Bob proudly served for 13 years in the US Marine Corps. He was a foreman for the Pizzagalli Construction Company and had worked in construction most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with his son, Rob, and his great-granddaughter, Chelsea. Bob also enjoyed going to camp in Marshfield with his son-in-law, Larry, and grandson, Corey. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Sheltra) Ladd of Fletcher; his daughter, Kathy Larrow and husband, Larry, of Sheldon; his son, Robert Ladd, Jr. and wife, Christine, of New Mexico; his stepchildren, Becky Hunt and husband, Marty, of South Carolina, George Ferguson, Jr. of Fairfax, Richard Ferguson and wife, Carol, of Virginia, Tracy Ferguson of Fletcher, Randall Ferguson of Fairfax, Trudy Meunier and fiance, Dan Gilbert, of Georgia, and Reginald Ferguson of South Carolina; 22 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, William Ladd and wife, Lois, of Florida; two sisters, Jean Sue Dickson of Florida and Carol Ann Vance and husband, Bill, of New Mexico; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his dog, "Sammy". SUMMERTON, SC / BURLINGTON, VT - Pauline Ann Ladd-Ferguson, age 72, passed away Thursday October 18, 2007 at her home in Summerton, SC after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Burlington, VT on August 19, 1935 the daughter of the late Harry & Mabel (Cavoretto) Cram. Pauline was proud to have owned and operated the Artists Touch in St. Albans where she shared her love for drawing and painting. She was also a bookkeeper for the Vermont Mattress Company for many years. Pauline enjoyed camping and meeting new people through out her life. When her children were younger she loved to support them with their interests, especially traveling all over New England to watch her son play soccer.
She is survived by her husband, George Ferguson of Summerton, SC; her children, Kathy Larrow and her husband Larry of Sheldon, Rob Ladd and special friend Christine Leister and her son Jai of Cloud Croft, NM; her grandchildren, Corey & Carlie Larrow, and Autumn Reilly; several step-children and step grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held Friday October 26, 2007 at 11:00 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Enosburg Falls with Rev. Rich O’Donnell celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Burlington. There will be no visiting hours.

George Rongwald Ferguson Summerton, SC / Fairfax, VT.
George Ferguson 86, a longtime resident of Summerton, SC passed away on May 4, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. Born on July 19, 1931 in Rahway, NJ he was the son of Henry and Hulda Ferguson of Fairfax, VT. He was married to Polly Ladd Ferguson from 1984 until her death in October of 2007. He was formerly married to Nancy Sheltra Ferguson Ladd from 1952 until 1984. George graduated from Bellows Free Academy Fairfax in 1948. He had many different jobs over the years. He was a Fuller Brush salesman, carpenter, lumberjack, and he took over the family farm in Fairfax. He was the Road Commissioner for Fairfax for 9 years, then went to work at S.T. Griswold as a mechanic before finishing his career at Greenmont Lumber Company in Underhill. George moved to South Carolina where he continued his employment at Lake Marion Golf Course until he began treatment for cancer. Because his cancer was so rare, he even agreed to allow the doctors to document and write up his treatment in hopes of helping others.
George is survived by his sister, Grace Pigeon of Largo, FL and his 2 brothers Hugo Ferguson and wife Evelyn of Clearwater, FL and Carlton Ferguson of Fletcher, Vt. His surviving children: Rebecca Hunt and her husband Marvin of Lexington, SC, George Ferguson Jr. of Fairfax, Richard Ferguson of Lexington, SC, Tracy Ferguson of Lexington, SC, Trudy Gilbert and her husband Dan of Georgia, VT, and Reginald Ferguson of Lexington, SC. He was predeceased by his son Randall who passed away from cancer on Feb. 1, 2016. He had 2 stepchildren Robert Ladd Jr. of Clovis, NM and Kathy Ladd Leroux and her husband Larry of St. Albans, Vt. George had 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter in addition to many nieces and nephews.
George did not want to have a memorial service so we plan to have a celebration of his life on June 17th 1pm-4pm at Fletcher Historical Society Bldg./ old Grange Bldg. in Fletcher, Vermont. While there, Lois met her best friend William F. (Bill) Ladd and married him Sept. 14, 1963. Together, they raised their children, Cheryl, Bryon, and Donna. As a stay-at-home mom, Lois did bookkeeping and accounting for several companies. After returning to the work force at Fisher, Lois became the first female insurance adjuster in the state of Vermont receiving many accolades. In late 1999, Lois and Bill retired to The Villages, FL, where she enjoyed playing Pickleball and golfing with her many wonderful friends. She was extremely proud of having scored a Hole-In-One!! Before moving to Florida, Lois and Bill had enjoyed many fun times with their South Burlington neighbors and their Knights of Columbus circle of friends. Lois was predeceased by her parents, siblings Vernon Brassard, Bernice Allen, Delores Hamlet, and Arlene Volpi, and siblings-in-law Joyce Bove Brassard, Tim O'Connell, Bruce Allen, Rene Nadeau, Jack Volpi, and Clarke Hamlet. She is survived by her siblings Terry O' Connell, Larry Brassard, Phyllis (Lee) Flint, Norma Nadeau, Arnold (Priscilla) Brassard, William Brassard, Thomas (Michele) Brassard, and Pamela (Michael) Dowling; her husband, Bill; her children, Cheryl Ladd, Bryon (Kathy) Ladd, Sr., Donna (Tim) Kaczmarek; her grandchildren Melissa Ladd, Christine (Jason) Parent, Evan Kaczmarek, Bryon (Shelby) Ladd, Jr., and Maria Claire Kaczmarek; one great-grandchild, Alexis Ladd; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families.
