"Flowage Cases Settled, Clinton Land Owners and State Agree On Damage for Taking Waters of Nashua River." At the superior court before Judge Pierce, in this city, the cases known as the Germantown cases were marked settled, and agreements for judgement were filed today by W.P. Hall assistant attorney general, representing the commonwealth and Walsh & Walsh for the plaintiffs. These cases arose from the taking of waters of the Nashua river and causing loss of flowage to those land owners along the stream below the Lancaster Mills, Clinton. The pettitions were brought over a year ago and were some thirty in number. At that time some 130 cases in all were brought by Walsh & Walsh against the state and these are the first to be settled. The settlement was announced by counsel as satisfactoy. The warrant for the money is to be approved by the governor's council at the next meeting, but as David I. Walsh was anxious to have these cases adjusted before he went away, agreements for settlement was finally perfected before Judge Pierce.
