SOUTH YARMOUTH – William Golliff, 78, of South Yarmouth died Saturday July 23, 2016 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
He was the husband of Karen (Hedlund) for 28 years.
Born in Taunton, Bill was the son of the late William H. and Elizabeth (Cash) Golliff. Bill served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1960.
Bill was employed at various jobs including, being a chef, a builder, a CDL cross country driver, and a school bus driver.
He enjoyed boating and bowling. He became an airplane pilot and was a member of the Discover Flying Club. He built and flew R/C airplanes. He was also a member of the Cape Cod Motorcycle Club and was a proud member of the Dennis Council on Aging Golden Age Program’s adult daycare.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by a son, Brett Castle of Denison, TX; three daughters, Linda Burrill of Louisville, KY, Donna Oaks of Rochester, NY, and Sheila Golliff of Danielson, CT; two step- sons, Robert Killen III of West Yarmouth, and Ryan Killen of South Yarmouth; a step-daughter, Lara Killen of Plymouth; two brothers, F. Robert Golliff of Yarmouthport, and Allen Marchand of Tiverton, RI; a sister, Ann Marie Marchand of New Bedford; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Brett, David, Ashley, Brandi, and Krystal; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Chelsi Varney.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday August 6 in the South Yarmouth United Methodist Church, 322 Old Main St., South Yarmouth. Interment will be private.

11. Crash kills local woman
Lunenburg,- A 46-year-old woman was killed in a one-car accident on Massachusetts Avenue early Thursday morning. Barbara A. Sutton of 1790 Massachusetts Ave., was pronounced dead at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester around 1:20 p. m. Police officer Charles Demming said he was on patrol when he saw Sutton’s car against a telephone pole on Massachusetts Avenue near the intersection with Elmwood Road around 2 a. m. At the time, Sutton was lying unconscious in the car, he said. He said the Fire Department was called in to help extricate Sutton from the car. She was then sent to Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg and later transported to Umass-Worcester. Deming said he could not tell how much time passed between the time of the accident and when he spotted Sutton. He said it did not seem as if Sutton had been speeding, but the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. Wright-Roy funeral home is handling funeral arrangements. John Antilla, champion of the Leominster Sportsmen's Archers, placed among the first ten at a national shoot held recently at Walkins Glen, N.Y. Approximately 5,000 top archers from all 50 states competed in five different types of rounds shot daily for five days under all weather conditions. Antilla was in the lead for the first two days, when blisters developed on his shooting fingers. At a state sanctioned shoot held Sunday at the Riverside Archery Club in Hudson, 20 Leominster Sportsmen Archers competed with four other clubs consisting of Nigmue Archers of Hopedale, Old Colony Bowmen of Pembroke, Marlboro Archers, and Auburn Archers. The Leominster Archers placed second in this event. Barbara Sutton placed first in the Womens Class D Division with a score of 187. John Antilla won the money-bullseye event. Paul A. Sutton, 50, of 18 Nutting St. died Tuesday in Burbank Hospital after a brief illness. He leaves his mother, Mary Contuzzi of Fitchburg; three sons, Sgt. Brian K. CLINTON Gertrude V. (McNamara) Timledge, 82, of 80 Lancaster Road, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of fifty years, John P. Timledge, died in 1997.
She leaves three daughters, Patricia A. Harlow of Westminster, Jonelle E. Zadroga of Clinton and Daria Timledge of Clinton with whom she lived; a sister, Eileen 'Peaches" Parker of Clinton; thirteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Many years ago, Gertrude opened her heart and home to help raise her two nephews, James C. McNamara, now of Florida, and Richard J. McNamara, now of Hawaii, and her niece. Two brothers, Timothy R. "Dickie" McNamara and James C. McNamara, and a sister, Mary Rose Sowa predeceased her.
She was born in Clinton, daughter of Timothy J. and Eileen M. (Conroy) McNamara and was a lifelong resident.
Gertrude worked at the former ITT Suprenant Co., Nylon Products, and retired in 1987 from Nypro, Inc. She also worked as a housekeeper for many years. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1941 where she had excelled at basketball and field hockey. She was also a member of the History Club. Gertrude was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She was an avid Bingo player, and enjoyed camping, especially at the ocean.
Funeral services are private. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 1, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
2. CLINTON - John P. Timledge, 74, of 80 Lancaster Road, an engineer, died Tuesday in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Gertrude (McNamara) Timledge; four daughters, Patricia Harlow of Fitchburg, Jonelle Zadroga, Daria Timledge and Sharon McNamara, all of Clinton; a brother, Robert Timledge of Clinton; a sister, Phyllis Fitch of Sterling; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Clinton, son of Philip and Margaret (Devaney) Timledge. He graduated from Clinton High School and Worcester State College.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Timledge was an engineer for 12 years at Digital Equipment Corp. in Maynard. He was then an engineer at Polaroid Corp. in Waltham for many years before he retired. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and past president of the Polish-American Veterans.

Davis, 6 Lake av. on December 25 in the First Baptist church of Hampton. Reverend J. Thomas Raisner of the Hampton Baptist church officiated at the double ring ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a street-length gown of white lace over satin, fashioned with elbow-length sleeves, a boufant skirt and a short jacket. her waist-length veil of silk illusion was caught up to a baroque pearl circlet. She carried a satin covered Bible with a white orchid and streamers of stepanotis and satin ribbon. Miss Lynda Kodwyck of Hampton Falls was maid of honor, and Miss Sherri Lahaie, sister of the bride, assisted as bridesmaid. Albert P. Lahaie, brother of the bride, served as best man, and ushering duties were performed by Kenneth Davis, brother of the groom, James Patten III of Newbury Mass. and Alfred Davis II, cousins of the bride. Miss Jane Patten of Newbury, Massachusetts, was the flower girl. A wedding supper was given by Mr. and Mrs. Seward Hayward of Belmont, this state, aunt and uncle of the bride. When the couple left for a wedding trip to the seacoast area, the bride wore a biege silk sheath, a turquoise velvet ciclet hat and accessories to match. The bride is a 1963 graduate of Winnacunnet high school and the bridegroom graduated from Nashua high school, class of 1961. He is serving with the United States Army at Fort Bliss, Texas. He loved his family, especially the grandchildren, working on and riding motorcycles, and his gun collection. Ren taught his children by example how to have fun, to not take oneself to seriously and to never give up. He loved to pull pranks and laugh a lot. Ren will always be remembered as someone who lived free and took no lip from anyone.

2. Obit: DEL RAY, Fla. — Rhonda McGrail, 56, lost her battle with cancer on July 17, 2014.
Rhonda leaves behind her loving husband, Myles McGrail; four children and their spouses: James and Megan Roderick, Nicole and Brian Agaman, Lindsay Daniels, and Daniel and Karen McGrail of Temecula, Calif.
Rhonda was the beloved "Nana" to her grandchildren, Shelby, Savannah, Jaxon and Nolan.
She was the daughter of the late Alvin R. Golliff; and survived by her mother, Florence M. Golliff; siblings Nancy Roberts and JoAnn Ashfaq, and Robert Golliff; nieces Kristi Ruggeri, Deann Henry, Janene Gardiner, Angela Dalpe-Healy, and Shauna Golliff; and nephews Steven Roberts and Derek Golliff.
When diagnosed in 2011 with cancer, Rhonda created a nonprofit organization called Covers For Chemo, which delivers care packages to oncology patients undergoing treatment. Rhonda was a truly generous, loving soul, and she will leave behind a legacy of love and giving to all who knew her.
